Joseph Hahn, more commonly known as Mr.Hahn, is the DJ/Turntablist for the world famous rock band that is Linkin Park.
Joe was born on March 15, 1977 in Glendale, California. Hahn joined Linkin Park (then called Xero) in 1996 as the band's
DJ. He went to the same college with Mike Shinoda, and became very good friends with him, opening up a door for him to joined
Mike's band. They both graduated from college with the same major, Illustration.
Hahn is also said to have an alter ego called Remy, who you can hear at the beginning of 'Fuse' and 'Cure For The Itch.'
He has directed music videos for most singles of his band, with the exceptions of "One Step Closer", "Crawling"
and "Faint". And also has directed videos for Static-X, Story of the Year, Xzibit, X-ecutioners and Alkaline Trio.
In the past few years, while bandmates Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda were busy with side projects, Joe shot a short
film called The Seed in Los Angeles, California and it has premiered at the Pusan International Film Festival. Hahn also appeared
with a minor role in a short film called Little Pony. In 2005, he opened a retail concept store and brand called Suru, located
on the infamous Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.
Joe was also featured on the Fort Minor songs "Slip Out the Back" and "Move On", tracks produced by
his Linkin Park bandmate Shinoda. In both tracks, Hahn does some scratching in the outro.
On the new album Minutes To Midnight, Joe contributes more to programming with his sound effects board. The only songs
he uses turntables in album are the minor roles in "What I've Done," "In Pieces," and "The Little
Things Give You Away."
